  • Marketing identifiers (with consent): Cookies and identifiers from Meta and Google (e.g., _fbp, _fbc, click IDs such as fbclid, gclid, and UTM parameters) used to measure the effectiveness of advertising and to show relevant ads.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your course account.
  • To enroll you in the VA Loan Confidence Course.
  • To respond to your questions or feedback.
  • To send course-related communications (e.g., enrollment confirmation).

Your account information is stored securely on our learning platform powered by Moodle. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure password storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential: Required for the site and learning platform to function (e.g., session, login, security challenges).
  • Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use the site (Google Analytics 4 with anonymized IP).
  • Advertising: Allow us to measure ad performance, build audiences, and show relevant ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

You can disable analytics and advertising cookies at any time using your browser settings or browser extensions (such as Privacy Badger or Ghostery), and you can opt out of personalized advertising on Meta through your Meta ad preferences and on Google through Google Ads Settings.

Advertising and Measurement (Meta and Google)

We use the Meta Pixel on this website and the Meta Conversions API on our server to measure how visitors interact with our ads and the site, to build custom and lookalike audiences, and to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. We share the following with Meta:

  • Page view events and actions you take on the site (e.g., signing up).
  • Hashed identifiers such as your email address and first name (one-way SHA-256 hash so the original value is not transmitted).
  • Your IP address, user agent, and approximate location (used for matching, then discarded by Meta after match).
  • Meta's own cookies and click identifiers (_fbp, _fbc, fbclid) when present.
  • Marketing parameters (UTM tags) attached to the URL that brought you to the site.

We similarly use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site usage. IP addresses are anonymized.

  • Cloudflare: Website hosting, security, and bot protection (Turnstile).
  • Moodle: Learning management platform for course delivery.
